#3 Eastern Michigan University (EMU)

The EMU Occupational Therapy Program has a rich history, since 1941. Numerous outstanding scholars and practitioners have graduated from this OT school and have provided service to the profession.

The OT school offers two entry-level options, one is Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) program and another one is Combined Occupational Therapy (COT) track, which is often referred to as the 3+2 program. The COT track/ Fast track is designed for undergraduate students who do not yet have a bachelor’s degree. This track requires students to complete twenty-four months of full-time, year-round graduate coursework in occupational therapy followed by 24 weeks of Level II Fieldwork. This track culminates with a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) and a Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) degree.

The 4 + 1 bachelor’s/master’s program is a fast track OT program. This program is offered at WMU’s main campus in Kalamazoo for undergraduate and transfer students.
